Website design and SEO built for your industry.

Industry-specific website design for London businesses. A clinic, a salon and a building contractor are judged on different things, work under different rules and are found through different searches. Pick your sector to see what gets built in, what I watch out for and how the site gets found.

Ten industries feeding into one website plan that adds three sector layers: the rules that apply, the booking or ordering flow, and the searches buyers use
OVERVIEW

Same foundations, different sector layer.

Every site is built on the same foundations: a custom design, a fast mobile build, SEO setup and GA4 tracking. What changes by industry is the layer on top: the rules the content has to respect, the way customers book or buy, and the questions they need answered before they trust you.

Get that layer wrong and a good-looking site still underperforms: a clinic without its CQC rating, a salon without a price list, a builder without photos of finished work. Get it right and the site does the persuading before anyone picks up the phone.

CHOOSE YOUR SECTOR

Industry-specific website design for London businesses.

Each page covers the features, regulations and search terms that matter in that sector, plus the questions owners ask me most.

WHY SECTOR KNOWLEDGE MATTERS

Three things a generic website usually gets wrong.

The Rules

Healthcare, dental, aesthetics and legal websites all sit under regulators or advertising rules that shape what a page can say and what it must show. A template knows none of this; a sector-aware build plans for it from the sitemap onwards.

The Booking or Ordering Flow

A salon client books a slot, a clinic patient books a consultation, a café customer orders ahead and a builder's client asks for a quote. The site is designed around that one action, using the systems your sector already runs on.

What Buyers Check

Patients check credentials, diners check the menu, parents check inspection reports. Put those answers where people look first and they stop comparing; bury them and visitors drift back to Google and pick someone else.

AT A GLANCE

What the website is built around, by sector.

The main action a visitor takes, and what they look for before taking it.

Sector Main action What visitors check first
Healthcare Book or refer Services, practitioners, CQC rating
Private healthcare Book a consultation Consultant, fees, insurers
Dentists Book, or call for emergencies Treatments, prices, finance
Beauty salons Book online Price list, photos, reviews
Cosmetology & aesthetics Book a consultation Practitioner credentials, safety, aftercare
Skincare brands Buy online Ingredients, reviews, delivery
Coffee shops Visit, order or book Menu, opening hours, location
Immigration lawyers Request a consultation Regulation, fees, visa experience
Construction Request a quote Past projects, accreditations, insurance
Education Enquire or book a visit Inspection reports, fees, admissions

How I handle sector rules

I read the current guidance for your sector before I plan the pages, build the website to support it (rating widgets, registration details, consent steps, careful wording) and flag anything that looks risky. I'm a website and SEO specialist, not a lawyer or a regulator, so this isn't legal or regulatory advice: your compliance lead, professional body or the regulator's own guidance always has the final word on content.

WHERE MY SECTOR KNOWLEDGE COMES FROM

Enterprise analytics first, small business websites now.

I haven't built a website in every sector listed here, and I won't pretend otherwise. My background is nearly 20 years of digital analytics for brands including GSK Consumer Healthcare, SharkNinja (whose categories included beauty) and Costa Coffee, plus an ongoing website redesign and digital delivery engagement for London FS, a London mortgage broker that now runs its website, analytics, search, email marketing and CRM management, and social as one connected system, reviewed every month.

INDUSTRY WEBSITES

Why a sector-aware website outperforms a generic one.

Search behaviour is different in every sector. People looking for a dentist in London search by treatment and postcode; people looking for an immigration solicitor search by visa route; people looking for a café search on a map, on their phone, often within a few streets of where they are standing. An industry-specific website is planned around those searches from the start, so each service, treatment or location gets a page that can rank on its own instead of one generic "Services" page trying to rank for everything.

The build then reflects how your customers decide. Regulated sectors need credentials and registration details visible without hunting. Booking-led businesses need the booking button everywhere and a system that syncs with the diary. Quote-led businesses need proof of past work and a short form that qualifies the enquiry. None of this costs more to build when it is planned in; it costs a lot more to bolt on after launch.

Every sector page starts from the same website design service, with Starter websites from £1,999 and fixed quotes for anything larger on the pricing page. Once the site is live, local SEO in London and a well-kept Google Business Profile matter most for clinics, salons and cafés, while ongoing SEO and AI search optimisation matter more for firms that sell a considered, higher-value service.

I work remotely with businesses across London and the rest of the UK. If you are not sure where your website stands today, the free SEO audit is a sensible first step.

FAQs

Common questions.

Which sectors I work with, compliance, cost and SEO.

No. The sectors listed are the ones I have written detailed guides for, because each has particular rules, booking flows or search patterns. The Starter website from £1,999 suits most service businesses, so tell me what you do and I will say honestly whether I am the right fit.

No, and I will not claim to. My background is nearly 20 years of enterprise analytics for brands such as GSK Consumer Healthcare, SharkNinja and Costa Coffee, plus a website redesign and ongoing digital delivery for London FS, a London mortgage broker. Each industry page sets out the sector's rules and search terms, so you can judge my understanding before we talk.

Because buyers in each sector check different things before they get in touch. A dental patient looks for treatment prices and finance, a salon client wants a price list and online booking, and a construction buyer wants past projects and accreditations. Building those in from the start helps the right pages rank and saves a redesign later.

The website is built to support the rules your sector works under, such as CQC rating display, GDC advertising guidance or ASA rules on prescription-only medicines, and I flag wording that looks risky. That is not legal or regulatory advice, so your compliance lead and your regulator's current guidance have the final word.

Starter websites start from £1,999 in most sectors, and trades websites from £799. That covers a custom design, a mobile-first build, SEO setup and GA4 tracking, with the scope confirmed in your written quote and no cap on pages. Online shops start from £2,499, and sites that need booking integrations or several locations are quoted at a fixed price after a free discovery call.

Every site launches SEO-ready: page titles, schema, an XML sitemap and Search Console are set up, and pages are planned around the terms people in your sector actually search. Ongoing SEO to compete for busy London searches is separate, typically £499 to £2,499 a month depending on competition and scope.
