THE CHALLENGE

What needed solving.

CPP Group had web properties across multiple international markets with no consistent analytics infrastructure. Each market operated independently with fragmented data and no centralised view of digital performance. The business needed a global measurement framework and the capability to track and optimise performance consistently.

FAQs

Common questions.

Scope across seven markets, and why the training mattered as much as the implementation.

Implementing Google Analytics across seven markets — the UK, Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Brazil and Mexico — and training local teams to use it. The goal was one centralised view of digital performance where previously there had been none.

Because insight that exists only centrally does not change local behaviour. Teams that understand their own numbers act on them without waiting to be told. The training was the part that made the implementation stick after the project itself ended.

Different languages, different site structures, different local platforms and very different levels of analytics maturity. A configuration that works cleanly in the UK often needs adapting for Hong Kong or Brazil, and assuming otherwise is exactly where rollouts fail.

With a documented measurement framework that everyone implements against, rather than leaving each market to interpret things itself. Consistency comes from agreeing definitions up front — what counts as a conversion, a session, a qualified lead — not from policing afterwards.

The multi-market complexity does not, but the governance principle does. Even a single website benefits from written definitions of what you measure and why. Most tracking problems turn out to be definition problems rather than genuinely technical ones.
